In collaboration with distinguished professors from Penn State University (PSU)/ USA, UNESCO Regional Bureau for Science in the Arab States – UNESCO Cairo Office has assembled a set of Nanotechnology ecourses (9 courses) that are available at UNESCO Cairo web site. These courses include six nanoscience core courses and three elective courses that form a similar set of courses that delivered by contributing professors.
The e-courses are open access and are free to download and use. The intention is for all universities to be able to utilize these e-courses in
establishing a higher graduate diploma/Masters degree for its graduate students and/or setup an undergraduate minor track on nanotechnology for sciences and engineering majors.
Professor Osama Awadelkarim, the holder of the UNESCO Chair on “Building Innovation and Manufacturing capacities through Advanced Technology Education” established in the Center for Nanotechnology Utilization and Education (CNEU) at Penn State University and his team can provide consultation to interested university staff towards this endeavor.
